Jer 51:6 Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD'S vengeance; he will render unto her a recompense.

Jer 51:45 My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce anger of the LORD. Does it pertain to the Israelites in the United States?

I will show through scripture that Jer 51: 6&45 does not pertain to the Israelites in the United States. It is actually telling the Israelites of the Babylonian captivity to flee. Before we delve into the issue, lets define how daughter is used according to scripture and examine a few chapters.

The confusion comes when the word daughter is used. For example: The daughters of Egypt or the daughters of Babel. Daughter is used to describe the land and people. I will give some examples:

Jer 46:11 "Go up into Gilead, and take balm, O virgin, the daughter of Egypt: in vain shalt thou use many medicines; [for] thou shalt not be cured. " It is clear that the daughter is the people because the land can not take balm up too Gilead.

Next, Jer 46:19 "O thou daughter dwelling in Egypt furnish thyself to go into captivity: for Noph shall be waste and desolate without an inhabitant." Here it is clear that the LORD is going to send the people into exile. Next, Jer 46:24 "The daughter of Egypt shall be confounded; she shall be delivered into the hand of the people of the north." Question: who shall be delivered into the hand of the people of the North? Answer: The land and the people. Here, the Creator is speaking of the land and the people. When you look into history of Egypt, the people of the north, The Greeks and the Romans, did conquer Egypt. The LORD did exactly what HE said HE w! as going to do.

Number (Bemidbar) 25:1 "And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab." Some would say that by the word harlotry being used it was a sex issue between the men and women. When actually it is not a sex issue at all. When Israel commit harlotry it is by worshipping other gods as in this case. Remember we are examining the word daughter. Let us read further: Num 25:2 And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods. Num 25:3 And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel.

It is clear that Israel as a whole, not just the men, was committing this act because it says "and the people began to commit whoredom". With who are they committing whoredom? The daughters of Moab! Daughters in this case are speaking of the people of Moab. How? Because it says, "they called the people unto the sacrifices." In this instance, we are speaking of the people and not the land of Moab.

Now let us get into the core of the topic.

In Jer 51:6&45, is the LORD speaking to the Israelites of the Babylonian captivity or the Israelites of today?

We must begin with Jeremiah 50th Chapter where it says,

" Jer 50:1 "The word that the LORD spoke against Babylon and against the land of the Chaldeans by Jeremiah the prophet. This can not be for the Israelites here in the United States because Jeremiah is speaking to them. Jeremiah is prophesying to Babylon what is to come. It is here also, in this chapter, first verse, where the LORD speaks against Babel and the land of the Kasdim. It is here, in this 50th chapter, where the LORD tells them to declare, publish, to setup a banner, proclaim, and conceal not, that they shall be confounded.

Jer 50:2 "Declare among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces." It is care that Babylon is going to fall. It is here, in the 50th chapter, where the LORD states out of the North comes up a nation to confound them.

Jer! 50:3 For out of the north there come up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell therein: they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and beast. We all know whom this individual is that is going to come out of the north. It is no one other than King Cyrus. Jeremiah is sending the warning! As you read on, you will see where the LORD says,

Jer 50:4 "In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the LORD their God.

Jer 50:5 They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces towards it, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the LORD in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten." This did happen, where the children of Israel returned to the LORD and returned home. The whole purpose of King Cyrus defeating Babylon was to let the Children of Israel return home, and it came to pass. If I said it once I have said it! a thousand times put the bible in chronological order in the way the prophets came. This will make things very clear!

Threw Jeremiah the prophet in the 50th chapter by the LORD Israel is warned and told to flee from Babylon and why?

Jer 50:8 Remove out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he goats before the flocks.

Jer 50:9 "For, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain. " Ask yourself who are the great nations from the north? They are no one other than Persia, Greeks, and the Romans.

If someone had told you this, would you remain in Babylon? I do not think so! This was another warning to the Israelites by Jeremiah. Jeremiah was doing his job!

Jer 50:10 And Chaldea shall be a spoil: all that spoil her shall be! satisfied, saith the LORD. Why?

Jer 50:11 Because you were glad, because you rejoiced, O you destroyers of mine heritage…."

This is why Babylon was to fall! There is more proof to come!

As you continue to read the 50th Chapter, you will see that YHVH was braking Babylon down and taking vengeance out on them. Look at what YHVH says to the nations.

Jer 50:14 "Put yourselves in array against Babylon round about: all you that bend the bow, shoot at her, spare no arrows: for she has sinned against the LORD.

Jer 50:15 Shout against her round about: she has given her hand: her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the LORD: take vengeance upon her; as she has done, do unto her." This is vengeance and this is showing that Babylon is weakened.

The next few verse in this chapter is the most crucial because it is clear that YHVH is speaking and warning the Israelites of the Babylonian captivity. YHVH tells it has it happened.

Read: Jer 50:17 Israel is a scattered sheep; the lions have driven him away: first the king of Assyria has devoured him; and last this Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon has broken his bones.

Jer 50:18 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria.

Jer 50:19 And I will bring Israel again to his habitation, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon mount Ephraim and Gilead. Verses 17, 18, and 19 makes it very clear who are the Israelites. Look at the names that have been mentioned. Assyria took the ten tribes and Nebuchadrezzar took the remaining. For this, he must suffer and if you know the history, he did. Israel did return only to go back into captivity again because of our disobedience.

We were even pardoned of our sins only to commit more. Jer 50:20 "In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I will leave as a remnant." And it was a remnant that returned! I have stated a lot here. However, I think it can be no more clearer as to who the Israelites are than what it says in verses 17, 18, & 19.

As you read on in the 50th Chapter, you can feel the anger and vengeance of the LORD against Babylon. The LORD even gives another reason why he is so angry with Babylon.

Jer 50:23 How is the hammer of the whole earth cut asunder and broken! How is Babylon become a desolation among the nations!

Jer 50:24 I have laid a snare for thee, and thou art also taken, O Babylon, and thou was not aware: thou art found, and also caught, because thou has striven against the LORD.

Jer 50:25 The LORD has opened his armoury, and has brought forth the weapons of his indignation: for this [is] the work of the Lord GOD of hosts in the land of the Chaldeans. (Again here the LORD is making it clear what land he is speaking of but read on)

Jer 50:26 "Come against her from the utmost border, open her storehouses: cast her up as heaps, and destroy her utterly: let nothing of her be left."

Jer 50:27 Slay all her bullocks; let them go down to the slaughter: woe unto them! for their day is come, the time of their visitation.

Jer 50:28 The voice of them that flee and escape out of the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of the LORD our God, the vengeance of his temple. (The LORD is angry because of the temple and of course, many other reasons)

Jer 50:29 Call together the archers against Babylon: all ye that bend the bow, camp against it round about; let none thereof escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath ! done, do unto her: for she hath been proud against the LORD, against the Holy One of Israel.

The next few verse will show how cruel the people of the north are:

Jer 50:41 Behold, a people shall come from the north, and a great nation, and many kings shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.

Jer 50:42 They shall hold the bow and the lance: they are cruel, and will not show mercy: their voice shall roar like the sea, and they shall ride upon horses, every one put in array, like a man to the battle, against thee, O daughter of Babylon. (The O daughter of Babylon are the native people of the land of Babylon)

To also show that we are speaking of the people of that time, look at what is being said here:

Jer 50:43 The king of Babylon hath heard the report of them, and his hands waxed feeble: anguish took hold of him, and pangs as of a woman in travail. (That is nothing but fear!)

To close out 50 which really continues into 51 read this:

Jer 50:45 Therefore hear the counsel of the LORD, that he has taken against Babylon; and his purposes, that he has purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make [their] habitation desolate with them.

Jer 50:46 At the noise of the taking of Babylon the earth is moved, and the cry is heard among the nations.

Brothers and sisters, I believe I have given enough evidence showing that the Babylon that is being spoken of is the Babylon of ancient times. As you continue to read into 51, which is nothing but a continuation of 50, and how the LORD is going to deal with Babel, the LORD sends another warning to the people.

Jer 51:6 Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD'S vengeance; he will render unto her a recompense.

It does not stop here because in the next few verses it is going to say who is going to come up to Babylon. This will prove that this is not the United States because it actually happened.

Jer 51:7 Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD'S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.

Jer 51:8 Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed.

Jer 51:9 We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reach unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.

Jer 51:10 The LORD has brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare in Zion the work of the LORD our God.
Jer 51:11 Make bright the arrows; gather the shields: the LORD has raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes: for his device is against Babylon, to destroy it; because it is the vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple.

I do believe I can close my case because I have proven my thesis. It is here who the LORD says is going to come up against Babylon and why. It is the kings of Medes, which is King Cyrus and why because of the LORD's holy temple.

Nebuchadrezzar over stepped his bounds when he destroyed the LORD's temple. The Kings of Medes is mention again in the 51st chapter.

It says, " Jer 51:27 Set ye up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashkenaz; appoint a captain against her; cause the horses to come up as the rough caterpillers.

Jer 51:28 Prepare against her the nations with the kings of the Medes, the captains thereof, and all the rulers thereof, and all the land of his dominion. With this came another warning to the Children of Israel. However, before I post the warning, read all that led up to the warning:

Jer 51:36 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will plead thy cause, and take vengeance for thee; and I will dry up her sea, and make her springs dry.

Jer 51:37 And Babylon shall become heaps, a dwelling place for dragons, an astonishment, and an hissing, without an inhabitant.

Jer 51:38 They shall roar together like lions: they shall yell as lions' whelps.

Jer 51:39 In their heat I will make their feasts, and I will make them drunken, that they may rejoice, and sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the LORD.

Jer 51:40 I will bring them down like lambs to the slaughter, like rams with he goats.

Jer 51:41 How is Sheshach taken! and how is the praise of the whole earth surprised!

How is Babylon become an astonishment among the nations!

Jer 51:42 The sea is come up upon Babylon: she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof.

Jer 51:43 Her cities are a desolation, a dry land, and a wilderness, a land wherein no man dwelleth, neither doth any son of man pass thereby.

Jer 51:44 And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he hath swallowed up: and the nations shall not flow together any more unto him: yea, the wall of Babylon shall fall.

Jer 51:45 My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce anger of the LORD. (Why?)

Jer 51:46 lest your heart faint, and ye fear for the rumour that shall be heard in the land; a rumour shall both come one year, and after that in another year shall come! a rumour, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.

If I were in the land of Babylon, I would take heed to the warning. This is not the Israelites in the United States that is clear! I would encourage everyone to finish reading 51 because it says,

Jer 51:60 "Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come upon Babylon, even all these words that are written against Babylon.

Jer 51:61 And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, When thou come to Babylon, and shall see, and shall read all these words;

Jer 51:62 Then shalt thou say, O LORD, thou hast spoken against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever.

Jer 51:63 And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that you shall bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates:

Jer 51:64 And you shall say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon her: and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah
